A. General Warranty Coverage:
- If installed and maintained properly, product will not wear thru more than 5% of surface area.
Wear is defined as 100% vinyl wear layer that exposes core material. - Gloss reduction or surface scratches are not considered surface wear.
- This warranty applies only to the defects inherent to the material purchased. This includes the delamination of the wear layer but does not include wear along the edges of the planks less than 3/16” from the edge.
- Subfloor surface must be smooth, flat dry and free from any residues. Subfloors should be flat within a tolerance of 1/8” over a span of 6 feet radius or 3/16” on a 10 feet radius. Any unevenness over the above noted tolerance must be sanded down or filled with a floor leveler.
- Structure will not be significantly altered by exposure to water for term of warranty.
- Full bathroom installation is approved. Silicone edge sealant must be applied along all vertical walls and surfaces (i.e. tubs and showers).
- Topical Moisture Warranty applies to spills/splashes, not fully immerse in or under water.
B. Limited Warranty Exclusions and Conditions
Exclusions
- Warranty coverage for any replacement flooring planks will be limited to the remaining time of the original warranty.
- Warranty coverage does not apply to products sold through unauthorized dealers.
- Warranty coverage does not apply to seconds, off-quality, or “as-is” goods.
- Warranty coverage applies only to the original purchaser of the flooring and the original installation site, is non-transferrable, and prorated by time of use.
- Warranty coverage does not apply to conditions or defects caused by improper installation, the use of improper materials during installation, or inadequate sub-flooring preparation.
- Warranty does not apply to floors with alkalis in the sub-floor or conditions arising from hydrostatic pressure or exterior applications.
- Warranty does not apply to damages or failure of the floor to adhere to the subfloor resulting from excessive moisture, alkali and/or hydrostatic pressure.
- Warranty coverage does not apply to construction-related damage.
- Warranty coverage does not apply to color variations between samples or printed illustrations and the actual production runs.
- Warranty coverage does not apply to the flooring installed with obvious visual defects.
- Warranty coverage does not apply to reduction of gloss from use or improper maintenance.
- Warranty coverage does not apply to conditions caused by abnormal and abused use, or maintenance such as:
1. Damage caused by negligence
2. Water damage from storms, floods, excessive plumbing leaks, appliance leaks, or any other event normally covered by homeowners insurance.
3. Damage caused by improper alterations of the product.
4. Damage caused by moisture remaining on the floor for a period of greater than 92 hours.
5. Damage that results from not following floor maintenance instructions
6. Scuffs, scratches, cuts, staining from rubber-backed mats, or damages or discoloration from carpet dyes, fertilizer, asphalt from driveways or chemicals.
7. Damages caused by burns, flooding, fires and other accidents.
8. Damage caused by abuse (such as dragging heavy or sharp objects across the floor without proper protection for the floor or with heavy wheeled vehicle traffic that can permanently indent or damage the flooring).
9. Damage caused by caster wheels or vacuum cleaner beater bars.
10. Failure to support furniture with floor protectors made of non-staining felt or nonpigmented hard plastic. - Warranty coverage does not cover discoloration or failure of the floor due to extreme heat, sunlight, dryness and /or moisture. Hence, the Product may not be installed in areas of extremely high temperature or humidity such as saunas and swimming pool areas.
- Wear-Through means complete loss of the wear layer so that the printed pattern or design of the floor is altered.
- If a plank does not install properly, it is not to be used.
- Residential use means normal conditions of daily activities in a normal household.
- Light commercial use means use in environments which do not have heavy commercial traffic such as and including art galleries, banks, bookstores, boutiques, coffee shops, dry cleaners, gift shops, hotel rooms, jewelry store, professional offices such as lawyers, accountants, physicians, dentists, and opticians, and waiting rooms.
C. CONDITIONS
Manufacturer will honor claims under this warranty only if all of the following conditions are
satisfied:
- At all times between purchase and installation the flooring must be properly stored according to installation instructions.
- Interior residential and light commercial construction only.
- The flooring must be installed below grade, on grade or above grade according to the recommended installation instructions and adhesives.
- Material and relative humidity in the area of use must be within a normal range of 35%-55%.
- Problems caused by failure of the homeowner or installer to evaluate the jobsite and jobsite conditions are not covered.
- This limited warranty applies only where the affected area of the flooring is visible and covers an area greater than 5% of the room.
- A description of the problem, photographs, and a sample that clearly shows the warranty problem must be presented to the retailer/distributor for presentation to the manufacturer.
- The covered person must provide valid proof of purchase in the form of a sales receipt or invoice showing a sale from an authorized retailer to the owner or resident of the residential location or to an installer or other trade professional. This must show the date of purchase, original purchase price, and identify the original purchaser.
- Inspections of the Stone Powder Core (SPC) must be performed in accordance with industry standards from a standing position with normal lighting and no glare.
- Written notice and all photographs, samples and other documentation should be sent to the distributor/dealer from which the flooring was originally purchased.
- Manufacturer must receive written notice within 30 days after discovery of any claimed defect or failure covered under this warranty, but within the time period applicable to the limited warranty.
- Manufacturer reserves the right to have a manufacturer’s designated representative or third party independent firm to inspect and take samples of the flooring in question for analysis.
- Manufacturer must be given 60 days following notice to inspect the product to confirm any failure.
D. Radiant Heat Warranty
The radiant heat system must be hydronic. Warranty does not cover electric radiant floor heat
system.
- The heating system must be designed for wood floor and have outside temperature and in-floor direct contact temperature sensors.
- The surface temperature of the subfloor must not exceed 80 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Relative humidity at the jobsite must be maintained between 35% to 55% at all times.
- The radiant heat system must be on and operating at normal output at minimum of 14 days prior to start of the installation.
- Flooring must be delivered to the jobsite and acclimated to the installation environment with cartons opened for a minimum of 2 days prior to start of installation.

THE FOREGOING IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THE MANUFACTURER DOES NOT GRANT TO ANY PERSON OR ENTITY THE AUTHORITY TO CREATE FOR IT ANY OBLIGATION OR LIABILITY IN CONNECTION WITH THE FLOORING. MANUFACTURER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR LOSS OF USE OR ANY OTHER INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL CONSEQUENTIAL COSTS, EXPENSES, LOSS OF INCOME OR PROFITS, OR OTHER SIMILAR DAMAGES INCURRED BY THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO THE PURCHASER. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS, WHICH MAY VARY,
